SHIPPING POLICY

Processing Time

We make every effort to process and ship orders on the day received. Peak holiday periods, time in transit, hot or forecasted hot departure, transit or destination weather, etc. may delay the shipment. We reserve the right to make judgment calls on shipping timing in order to deliver the best product possible to you. Please see below for Warm Weather Shipping.

A tracking number is assigned once your package has been processed. Please track your package, and be on the lookout for delivery

If shipping timing is of utmost concern to you, please contact us.

 

Shipping and Handling Charges per Address

The most economical shipping rate is USPS Priority. However, the timeframe given (i.e. 2-day, 3-day, etc.) is only an estimate. USPS does not guarantee delivery within that timeframe. During most of the year, it is a very accurate indicator of delivery time, but around any holiday, it will most likely NOT arrive in the timeframe listed.

If you would like a guaranteed delivery day, please select UPS. UPS is a two business day minimum with no delivery on the weekend.

Once we have given your package to the shipping carrier, we cannot assume responsibility for the following:
* Delays caused by the shipping company
* Damage or theft of package after the package has been delivered to the specified address
* Returned or delayed packages due to an incorrect or undeliverable shipping address
* Packages left unattended outside

 

Warm Weather Shipping

Warm weather shipping occurs when temperatures exceed 72 degrees at point of departure, in transit, or at destination.

We have a $2 surcharge for frozen gel packs and insulation to protect chocolate from heat during transit, during the warm weather. During this time, USPS and UPS shipping occurs Monday thru Wednesday. On Thursday, we will only ship overnight USPS orders. We do not ship on Fridays.

 

Physical Address Recommended

We prefer a United States physical street address. Please double check address information for accuracy, and include apartment, suite, or unit numbers as appropriate. All billing, shipping, and payment details must be correct to process your order, and we cannot be held accountable for mistakes in the information provided to us.

Unfortunately, we cannot ship to APO, DPO or FPO Boxes.

 

Sales Tax

Sales tax will be added when shipping to applicable states

 

Orders to Hawaii and Alaska

Hawaii & Alaska must always ship 2-day or Next Day. Estimated arrival date of the shipment is determined by the shipping company.

 

Orders to Canada

We also offer shipping to Canada. Shipping rates to Canada will be quoted on an individual basis. Taxes and duties are added to residential locations. For business deliveries, Canadian policies allow the business to determine the broker and additional taxes and duties may be assessed at the time of delivery. Unfortunately, this is out of our control and fees cannot be paid for by Beacon Hill Chocolates once the package has been assigned a third-party broker.

 

Refunds & Replacements

We guarantee that your chocolate order exits our facility pristine and damage-free.  Should you receive a damaged product, please take a picture of the product and the shipping box with label attached and email inquiry@beaconhillchocolates.com. This must occur within 48 hours of delivery, or we will assume that our package was delivered in good condition.
